Detector(s) used
A stick and chewing gum
Primary Interest:
Beach & Shallow Water Hunting
Not that anyone cares but, I recently got my AT Pro and have been able to attack my back yard 2 times. I am new to detecting and have about an hour under my belt. All in my back yard which is now completely destroyed after chasing invisible targets. First round I found 26 cents. Second round I found 26 cents and a key. Obviously not very interesting to most, I just thought it was a strange coincidence. Have a great night.

You will get the hang of it. And you will love the Pro.

That's .52 cents more than I found in the past two days. Welcome aboard TNet, looking forward to seeing more of your finds.

invisible targets huh ? sounds like Newbie error you'll figure it out,
whether it's pinpointing, settings, or simply non targets.

Read & ask in the Garrett forum here, if you haven't.
it may help.

anyway.... congrats on the 52 cents so far

Bury some practice targets!!! Good luck and post what you find :occasion14:

being that you are new, perhaps i can be a bit of help. First thing I would do is run in standard mode, and discriminate the iron out to 40. I like to run in coin mode/pro, but only because I used a 350 for a year and they are similar. I might be able to help with the blank holes too. When you get a diggable signal, swipe back and forth as you back up slowly and when you no longer hear the tone, the target is directly in front of the tip ofyour coil. The "hotspot", (area of greatest concentration) is what i circled in red in the picture below. I think the best advice is notch out that iron, its a low grunt sound and you will chase targets all day long with it on. Watch youtube videos and read the heck out of that manual. Trust me you will learn it and love it!! hope this helped

Ordered it last week along with a Lesche Shovel from Ed at Treasure Mountain.

WELCOME TO T-NET! :hello2::occasion18: :hello: Pretty soon you'll be "in the swing of things" with your detector & pinpointer! At that point you'll dig a beautiful old silver quarter and a nicely toned Indian Head cent for a "26 cent day" that will totally delight you! HAVE FUN Andi

yes i did forget to mention, pinpointer pinpointer pinpointer! i didnt use one my first 6-8 months of detecting now i cant go w/o it. Super fast recovery time and much neater, cleaner,& easier to fix/fill plugs.

Welcome! You'll get the hang of it

Keep at it , if you are not hooked yet you will be. :laughing7: Looking forward to seeing your finds. :icon_thumright:

This is to funny because the last two times I went out found 26 cents both times too....never know till you dig it up..so keep on diggin it

OK. Time to get down to business. Got the Lesche T-handle and the Pro-Pointer in the mail today from Ed at Treasure Mountain(my new go to vendor). Not tonight though. Got home late, still got stuff to do, and darkness is coming fast. Maybe Thursday I can break out a small chunk of time. In the meantime, I think I will take the Propointer in the house and harass everybody. Maybe not, just remembered it vibrates and would want any confusion about what kind of "toys" I am out in the garage playing with(may turn up missing).

Does your yard look like this? All kidding aside, you will get the hang of it and then get HOOKED like the rest of us. Just some food for thought, if you have one of those underground dog fences, the interference can trigger lot's of false signals.

Just keep digging and the relics will come out! Takes time and effort is all

Someone once said 'coincidence' is God's way of staying anonymous. One time I found a single target that turned out to be a penny and a dime. Soon after, I found a gold ring! This happened several times over a few months. Now every time I dig a dime and a penny together, I get excited! But that happens a lot more than finding gold rings these days. Happy hunting!

go play the number lol
