That is a nice find. I have trouble sticking to my game plan in the woods. Lack of targets makes me just pack it up and leave. Someday I will learn the art of woods hunting.

My favorite kind of hunting, too, Jim. Today just 4 clad coins, but the peace and quiet is definitely a side benefit. Never once has a squirrel asked me "Find any Gold?"

And the Liberty Nickel you found today is just the reason I like to stick with it. Some days can be real bummers for finds; but all it takes is one like that to keep me coming back to the woods

Yeah, I can definitely relate to the peace and quiet of hunting a remote location. It is *almost* worth not finding as many targets....*almost*.

8) Diamond Jim: I sent one to be repaired a few years ago, & they completely replaced the whole insides. Took about 3 weeks.

Like Iron wrote, those V nickels aren't easy to find and I too have always wondered why.
