Had two good hunts last week. Finally made the time to post them.
In the first hunt The 2 Indians were from the same house a few feet away from each other, A nice surprise. 12 wheats in one outing- new record.

The “GR” Ring is sterling, and was found in the second hunt along with the 1924-s Merc

Nice hunts, liking the silvers and the IHs. The designs for the Mercury dime and the IH were really great (something that has been lost on the modern designs)
The ring is cool and here is some information on what it is and age.

The insignia on the ring is the official emblem for the Girl Reserves, a youth division of the YWCA (Young Women's Christian Association)
  • The Letters "GR": Stand directly for Girl Reserves.
  • The Triangle: The core symbol used by both the YWCA and YMCA, representing the balance of the Mind, Body, and Spirit.
  • The Outer Circle: Represents wholeness and the enveloping community or world.

The "Official" Designation: During the height of the Girl Reserves movement in the 1920s and 1930s, the national YWCA contracted specific jewelry manufacturers to produce standardized, authorized uniform pieces. Stamping the inside with "Official" was done to distinguish authentic national organization rings from generic imitations or local high school variants.

Congratulations on some great finds!!!

Yes make more videos, you did a great job!!!

Without more photos to see it better the unidentified metal object appears to be an old horse bridal rosette. here's a photo of similar ones.

Also please stop rubbing your coins to remove the dirt you will scratch them and lower the value by a lot, would you clean those coins with sandpaper(?), get yourself a small water spray bottle to rinse the dirt off, this will also keep any remaining dirt from hardening making further cleaning even more difficult, I'll leave a link below for spray bottles!!

thanks guys! I think it is a horse bridal rosette, the back looks very similar to in the picture. And the ring history is pretty cool.

Fantastic hunting and great recoveries! Your video was also very well done, and I subscribed and shared your channel. You can be very proud of what you are accomplishing, you're way ahead of the vast majority of boys your age!
Keep up the great work, and good luck! :icon_thumright:
