Alright now I know to you easterners this is not that old but out here they don't turn up much at all. But today I fought through nothing but 1890s through 1910 era trash and finally towards the end found and older spot. Found one pistol ball and some hand forged iron. That one ball was indicative of a tough day as usually I find a handful. Anyways just as the sun was setting I dug a modern .22 cartridge and right next to it I dug the 1838 Seated Dime in pretty good shape! GL&HH :)

That's a sweet dime! Second year of the seated coins. Never found a seated dime that old before. Congrats!

Excellent find! My one and only seated coin is also an 1838 dime, although mine is a bit nicer than yours. Check out the velvety smoothness, no sharp lines or annoying features. LOL. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1470448757.038360.jpg

Hopefully one day I'll come across a seated as fine as yours, that thing is a stunner!

NICE FINDS , AND THE IRON POT HANDLE , BOY WHAT AN ART BACK THEN .

I'll trade you! Haha that's insane how much variation there is. I guess you never know if you'll get a crisp one or a velvety smooth till you dig it😂

Haha you never know what condition is going to pop out. I wish mine was better, but I am just happy to have found a Seated in Canada.

As for a trade... I'll have to think about it[emoji12]
