I can't believe I forgot to post from my second return to my "hunted out" honey hole. For those that didn't see part one ( http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/t...o-long-since-hunt-like-warning-lots-pics.html ) I had a spot my partner and I hunted hunted over and over until we couldn't get any more. Fast forward a couple years I went back just because I was in the area.

Well, obviously, I was going to go back and continue the hunt with a much more thorough grid search!

6 more silver dimes (with a dime trifecta! ), a sterling earring and even an Indian Head cent. 10 dimes from a spot recently hunted hard is amazing. Going back again when I get another chance! Still a lot more ground left to cover.

Nice silver, that's an awesome day.

That's a good day anywhere especially at a site that's been beat up. Congrats on the silver and other finds

Great day you had with a good variety of silver coins, congratulations!

That's just killer my man!

Ouch, lot's of Barbers.

Dude if that is from your hunted out honey hole; then I would love to see what you would call a honey hole.

Nice finds.

Jason, what detector are you using, just curious? Thanks.

I love the fact that you keep hammering up new finds.

Wow!!! Definitely not hunted out!

thats some old silver good hunt

Congrats on digging a couple months of keepers from that Pounded site. Man we all know where you'll be hitting hard. I find that a change of grid direction as well as using a different coil can uncover goodies at a site once thought depleted of treasure.

Ouch, lot's of Barbers.

When we were hunting it the first time, this place was a "barber shop". I found more barber dimes than mercs or rosies. Even pulled seated from there last go around.

First hunts, we were pulling coins from the 1890s barely under the surface. Digging Indian heads was as easy as digging fresh drop zincolns. The only aggravating thing is knowing whats there and that some areas are almost plain dirt and other areas have grass 3 inches thick. If only I could put my mower on there and scalp those thick sections!

Thanks. Swinging the same CTX with stock coil I was using last time.

Yep, any place that produces well should be hunted north/south and east/west and NE/SW. We did that last time too. Some of these were solid targets but most were mixed with iron and/or on edge. I have to hope that maybe I just got better at IDing those difficult remaining goodies. Maybe a couple years of freeze and thaw cycles moved these around to make them easier to find. All I know is that I'm loving the way this place is producing again!

You would not be the first to weed eat a grid. LOL From what your finding I bet it would be worth it to just gain that couple extra inches.

Jason, put a weed eater head on the CTX and Mow as you go, Hehehe. Roundup and a drag behind a 4 wheeler? On the not kidding side would the owner mind if you "Cleaned up the area" .??

silver king has struck again...

Well, its a "public" space so...... I would either get a commendation for saving taxpayer funds, or arrested LOL

Yep, hunted out! I would move on. Where did you say this place is?:laughing7: Nice haul!

Nice hunt, any hunt with that many silvers is a great hunt.

Yes looks hunted out!!! Well done!!! Congrats and HH
