I received 2 boxes of halves on order(found out I can ask them to order them anytime, not just on a set day) and immediately noted that the boxes are different.
Last weeks box was a small double stacked box sealed with plastic tape or something similar. I should've taken a picture, but I gave the box back to the bank that I returned the coins at.
This weeks boxes are single stacked, long and glued closed.
I opened one box and the rolls have yellow lettering, last week they had black lettering. For giggles I checked the roll ends for silver and only found one "suspect" but am waiting to open it to confirm. Last week I saw at least 3 silvers as ends.

Is it possible that last week I stumbled upon an old box, which would explain why it had so much silver?

I'm holding off opening them until my wife gets home(she enjoys this too), but then I'll post any finds. The second box I'm leaving sealed until a fellow CRH hunter gets his box tomorrow and we work out a time to crack them open and drink a few beers.

1st box = skunked
Nice that you had a box with alot of silver....I haven't looked long enough here to see if you posted those finds...but would like to see those...I have started doing halves but so far just getting skunked...

Thanks for sharing...nice that you have someone who also enjoys going through rolls with you!

2nd box proved to be a skunk as well. However, I think we're hooked. The short term plan is to do another 20 0r so boxes and see whether it stays fun or starts to get tedious.

I think that's why I'm doing nickels, pennies...grandkids love the pennies...one anyway...the halves got alittle tedious...but I would love to find some Franklins...silver etc...so I'm going to do alittle alittle there...to stay in the game...

I'm debating doing the same thing with my Dad. as you're doing with your grandkids He's 90, and we run out of things to talk about when I visit, he's alone and bored, but may perk up messing with coins. He's always been interested in coins so it might be something for us to do. Go through a few rolls while I'm there and leave him a few rolls to look though on his own.
