Hi all!
I had fun doing a follow up visit at a new permission recently. No Indian heads or silver this time but found a few nickels, a ring band (brass or copper?), a metal tube that cleaned up as a whistle (that works!), a neat button, some unidentified metal/lead pieces and quite a bit of coal and random metal. The coal really sends a strong signal. I am sure it is masking other things...

Your post made me realize a rock I found a few weeks ago may have been coal.
