3/4 of my bottle collection (batteries went dead in camera)

Beautiful collection...my favorite is pic #11 with the colors in the sun. I was recently given a small collection of old bottles to add to my collection.

I have 2 hornet's nests hanging in my house too. I was told they're hornet's not bees, anyway one is approximately 40+ years old (found by my husband when he was a teen), the other by my son and this one is about 15 years old.

How do you clean bottles that are really dirty inside?

I clean most of my nasty dirty bottles with straight ammonia which I pour 1/2 inch from bottle bottom. I then use a piece of coat hanger that can be cut to the size you need and bent to reach the hard to get at spots and a piece of 3m pot scrubber pad that can be cut to fit bottle opening...the larger the better as long as you can still get it out after you have put it in. Ive never had a piece that wouldnt come out. Sometimes it takes a little patience to get the hanger on to the scruber and work the inside but if you do it a few times it gets easier. I dont recommend straight ammonia on any bottle that has potstone as it sometimes will react with glass and crack at the stone. Also I wouldnt use it on a money bottle or something highly thought of.

Definetley lock up the BB-Gun.....Awesome colection. You probably don't have to buy curtain's either....Good stuff!!!
