3 40% (one marked) and $4.50 in dimes

So, I read this blog almost everyday, but never post. Nothing too exceptional. I only do CWR and randomly hit banks. My best find ever was 2 solid rolls of 40% out of $50CWR, but that is by far my best find.

So I went to the bank with my brother who thinks CRHing is "funny" and while there, I ask for halves. She says she has $10 worth and stacks them on the counter. I immediately see silver. While counting she says: "Oh, this one is solid silver". I reply and say "Nice, that's great." I thought for sure she was going to snipe them, but then she says, "I have these silver dimes no one wants". She then pulls out an envelope with $4.50 on the outside and shows me the dimes. She then tells me some lady came in with a lot of old coins, lots of "buffalo quarters". She said she asked the lady if she was sure if she wanted to cash them in and the lady said yes.

So, now I am really excited but when I ask where they are, she says she swapped them out for herself. Anyway, it was pretty awesome. What I don't understand is why she did not just take the halves and the dimes for herself. We exchanged names. I'm going to go back and see if she wants to sell the other coins.

Anyway, I've heard stories like this, but never had this happen to me before. My brother was amazed...haha. My wife was in shock and annoyed because I will be more in the game now.

- 3 40% including a marked one
- 45 silver dimes / 1 was Merc

You're wife's not annoyed because you're going to be in the game more because you're going to be swapping numbers with a young bank teller who knowingly and willingly gives you silver. ;-)

Its possible you have a whole bank there where no one really knows about silver coins or doesn't care.
Id definitely start bringing treats in and get chummy with the tellers.
That could be a potential gold mine... or should I say silver mine.
