The three cent piece is on my wish list, congrats!

Very cool finds

Great finds! That 3 cent looks to be about a 35-40 dollar coin. I know guys that have detected 20 years and have yet to find one.

The wheatie was actually dumb luck - I was actually using my AT Pro to find pop up sprinkler heads - and the penny was near one of the heads. It was a recently constructed sports field that is fertilized - so I think some of the damage to the penny is from the repeated fertilizing.
The 3 cent piece was found near a huge oak tree that is on an old school campus. It is such a tiny coin.

Congrats on the 3 cent Silver!

I know how you feel when I found a 2 center I was like what the heck is this lol untill I got home and checked it out haha, sweet 3 center my buddy found one a few weeks ago also in WV, you don't see them a whole lot lol congrats!!!

Hands down my favorite coin! I buy em up when I see em for less than 20 with a full rim, star, and date. Does it have a mint mark? Based on the type is should be on the reverse near the opening on the C. Big congo rats my man!!!

Nice 3-center !! Definately on my bucket list !! Congrats !!

Congrats! Both versions are near the top of my bucket list. Great find!

Wow... the only 3¢ piece I ever had, I bought at a coin shop. Before then, I never knew they existed, either. CONGRATS to you! Great Find!!!

Great find! I'm waiting for mine still. What detector did you find it with? Your 3030? How old was the school?

I found it with the at pro. I was actually working when I found the wheatie and after I got all the irrigation heads flagged - I detected for about a hour. The school was actually founded in1842. Normally I would have used the ctx but since I was just looking for the irrigation heads I thought I would take the pro out.

Great find on the 3.....

Nice find! If only found one in over 25 years of hunting!
