Hi folks,
This is my first time out this year ( 2-10-09 ). Hit the old agricultral Fairgrounds ( 1866-1900 ). I left off at in Nov. managed to pull out these 5 coins. An 1866 3 cent piece, a 1866 Shield Nickel with rays, and 3 well worn Indian heads ( 1880,1881,? ). The 3 cent piece came in as foil reading on the CZ-3D. All The other coins came in hi-tone. Finds are really starting to get scarce here, I guess I can't complain I have managed to pull out 26 coins ( 1- 2 cent piece, 1- 3 cent piece, 4 seated dimes, 7 shield nickels and 13 indian heads ) Fertilizers really are hard on the copper and nickel.
Thanks for looking
Mike

Congrats on those real oldies! Chemicals are rough on the Indians i get here in Mich, usually cause I'm hunting an old park or ballfield.

What a great way to start the year! Congratulations on your finds........

Hope you can find some more at that site!

Kathy
