Me: (tail between my legs), Yeah its always a plus, we collect older coins.
Other teller: Well, here ya go (pops out a 1949 silver dime from his tray, and proceeds to edge check the rest of his tray for me)
Me: Thanks!

Im thinking they cant buy from themselves at this branch. So I scored that today, 4 1964 Kens, 1921 Morgan, and a 7 40%s. As someone mentioned here, "nice lil honeyhole". Indeed!!!!!

Nice, I just got a new pick up bank today myself. First time in and the manager gave me some guys penny collection that he just dropped. Mostly just copper, but some nice wheats from the 30s and 40s.

Nice! I guess its all the same rush for us CRHs, copper vs silver.

I dont believe copper has caught on with the tellers yet, or the general public for that matter. Can you imagine if the public knew of an investment where somthing is worth $0.03 to $0.01 FV??

Silver is there, copper not yet

Yeah, and when they even help do your searchin' for you I'd say that's excellent service. It's great how banks are in business to make money from customers but we as CRHers are able to make money from banks. And when banks like this one are so willing to help us at it that's even better.

Yep I never hesitate to say what I'm doing with the coins and that I'm a collector. Sure, sometimes they are unhappy with it while other times they offer me better coins.
