Howdy y'all

I haven't had much time to hunt lately. I did get permission to hunt an old school that time forgot yesterday. dated (1890-1920) An old timer told me about it. The only visual signs are the front steps and corner stones. It is tucked away on a wooded hill side. Pretty grown up. You can't see it from the road. Brother john37115 and I hit it for a while yesterday. There were a lot of spots we couldn't hit good because of the brush. I'd only found one Indian head before. I Found 3 there yesterday. Found 2 1902's in the same hole. Also found the cleanest wheat I've ever found. It's a 1920 s. The little bell says DR Bells Pine Tar Honey. There was So Much iron in the ground I'm sure we missed a lot of good stuff. We hope to go back and clean out the iron to try and get the goodies. I don't think this site has been hunted as the coins were just to the right of the front steps and only about 4 inches deep. The one Injan still had the Liberty on the head dress but its jacked up with a bad scar. Dang It!

Kirk,

You are awesome, bud! Those Indians are pretty!

At this moment, Kyle and I are listening to your creation, "Can't Break it to my Heart." :) It is, indeed, a country classic! :icon_sunny:

Kirk,
YOU da' Man!!!  Those are some beautiful coins Buddy. I love IH's, but that wheat is no joke either!
Some great finds. There has to be more there for you guys.
Good luck,
MM
Howdy MM, Thanks Bro, I love 'em too. That wheat must've been lost when it was a baby.  :D I'm hopin' there's plenty more as after I took pics of the finds I put 'em in a little display box and gave 'em to the Land owner, I don't normally offer, but the Man has been out of work for 8 months due to back surgery and phy. therapy, and to top it off, he made it known that he is a history buff. Anyhow, I thought he'd enjoy them, and be more willing to let us come back when we want. I'll let yall know how it goes.

Nice finds Kirk!  Might be worth cleaning up the brush if you are allowed to do so.  HH, Mike
I'm gonna see if he minds if we knock down some of the brush and under growth.

Gypsy says around 1897-1910  my brother john37115 had found one too several months ago and he came to the same conclusion on the date. So if he and Gypsy say it I believe it. :icon_sunny:

My wife's from up there I think I told you.  May have to go north to ever find a coooooppppppaaaaaa :D

Congrats on those IH's. I found a lot of those "green meanies" up in Maine. I figured it was because of the pines.????? One thing I learned about those green ones is don't try to get all the green off or you won't have much to look at when your done. lol

Good luck!.................HH

The wheat back almost looks like a steel penny.1920-That would be a very rare find. :icon_scratch:
