Haven’t been detecting or on forums since I had my little heat stroke this time last year. After getting a bug up my but looking at the local swimming hole going dry, I decided to get my AT Gold back out and give it a swing. I have spent the last 2 evenings slipping and sliding on the slime covered Granite trying to remember the sounds of this machine. I have found a lot of change, don’t know how much, but it will buy a few batteries for my habit. With all the loose coins every where I guess no one has been hitting this spot. Along with the change I have found 3 rings in the last 2 day. The first was a big Silver ring found on the first day and then a nice junk ring and a Stainless steel ring. Not a bad way to restart my habit. I cleaned the rings with my brass tumbler using crushed walnut hulls. It worked ok.

Congratulations... very nice rings you found. Are you sure the yellow one is gold.. ???

No I am not sure. I am going to have it tested tomorrow. Its heavy and the metal is soft, but I am not 100 % sure. It has been in the water for a while. I even cut a small sliver off of it. Whatever it is, its the same metal all the way through. It has a bumpy texture all over it. Its not normal. No visible k stamp. I will post it tomorrow whatever it is.

It wasnt Gold:dontknow: Its junk but the little dolfin is silver.

I am sorry it wasn't gold, but it didn't look like it... Better luck next time.
