30 Banks Today

Went for a short run to a bunch of banks in little burbs around my old college town.

Managed 10 new silvers out of about $275 FV of searched halves.

(3) 40%

Also got $154 in Ike's that I'm thinking of listing on Craigslist...why not, right?

So in almost three full weeks of CRH I'm at:

That's a sweet start indeed.

I don't know why, but it seems like the hobby goes in streaks - feast or famine. You seem to be feasting, keep up the pace.

thats alot of stops...30 banks, definitely not a "short run" as you say, but still profitable non-the-less, congrats !!

I hit 7 banks today while working and got a total of $163 in halves and $45 in clad Ike's from 3 different banks. I only scored 1x'66 half. But I also got another box of dimes today and so far I've found 1x'52S Rosie from the 1st 10 rolls - so I've managed a little silver today myself.

Yeah, I guess I should have said the trip was short on mileage, but long on stops!

Most of my score came from one bank. The tellers were all seated behind desks (my favorite type of banks as they seem to keep their trays inside of a drawer: less chance for regular joe to see the silver!) - old lady teller called me over after hearing me ask the younger teller for halves, she says she has a few she'd "Like to get rid of" - she proceeds to open the drawer and there they were! She had $6 in loose halves, $2 in clad, $3 worth of 1964, $1 in 40%! Sweet!

It's always nice to find tellers like that - who are glad to be selling you their silver coins @ fv. What more can you ask than that? Maybe just for there to be more tellers just like them.
