I only had about 30 minutes to hunt tonight, so I stopped by a local school and hunted the playground area. It is covered in wood chips and I thought I would run over the lot real quick. I only found a couple coins, but was really stoked when I dug one deeper signal and it produced a 1965 Canadian nickel! Although, this is nothing really valuable, I was happy. I have never found one of those before. The coin is in great shape, although it is chalky grey looking and has a wood chip stain on the front (picture 3) that detracts from the coin. Any ideas on how I might clean this for my collection? I know most people say not to clean them, but I just want to be able to bring out the detail more and add to it's eye appeal. Thanks all.........

Cool to find the canadian in Missouri...

Yeah, this is actually the second Canadian coin I have found there. The first was a 1987 Quarter and the this was the second. I have also found a Peruvian coin and Thaii coin as well. Wierd how we find stuff like that.

One of those beaver nickels, I've found a few down here also. Seems to be alot of Canadian coins here in Texas.
