3rd day at my new cellar yields some first time killer finds...

Headed out late today around 1 for a hike to my new cellar..

Man the woods were a mess from hurricane Irene

What a challenge its gonna be hunting these cellars now...Not good for the lazy ones alot of branch moving

Started off with an insane colonial buckle frame i think is a womans..

Then i got what looks to be a Virginia halfpenny that was counterfeited into a large cent sort of..
It has the man on the front but it has kind of a draped bust wreath and it says one cent backwards

I dont know man its a strange one

Then i grabbed the poor old farmers silver pocket spill and shield nickle..

The half dime is an 1859 o and my first ever

Then the seated liberty dime 1875..

1798 Draped bust large cent

Cool little button

A 1600's stirrup buckle.

Man i had a good day out there and was only there less than 3 hours

When the vegetation clears im gonna pound it to death

I would say you had a great day! You found a Woods Hibernia copper. Wow, what a site! You must pound that cellar hole in all-metal mode and not let a beep get by your sweep.

Ya got a Killer site there, could produce finds for a long time
Congrats on finding what very few ever come across,
A rich Virgin Site ( with a large date range of items) SUPERB

Herbie i was thinking about the time frame of finds

So far i got some early colonial to at least the 1875 seated i found

Makes it so interesting..I only have about 10 hrs on this 20-30 acre section walled in..

Wow Blaze, fantastic hunt there bud!! Love that hybrid Large Cent/Woods Hibernia copper. The buckle is definitely a late 18th century shoe buckle, possibly a woman's. Congrats on your first half dime as well, I'm still looking for mine

holy cows JB i love the half dime i always wanted one of them and that dime and LC are just spectacular as well, i would love to get to a nice 1700s site but none are where i'm from, maybe one i day i may make a trip across the boarder down to New England and try out some sites.
