I had a couple of hours after work today so I headed out to the local park. To the best of my knowledge it was established back in the early 1900's. After watching several videos on digging silver with the etrac i decided to try my luck with a new approach: Swing Slow and stutter step. My first target was a very old looking our lady victory medal made of aluminum... it was pretty toasted and buried deep. On my second target out pops a 1935 Merc. I was so happy. I found 5 wheaties and some clad including a 1970 peru 1/2 cent buried next to a iron fence fragment. I think i'm getting the hang of things. I worked this same ground with my V3i and didn't find any silver. Not hating b/c i loved that V3i and miss the blue spectrum on it.
Besides swinging slow and taking small steps to cover ground thoroughly, does anyone have any pointers for a noob?
