Going back to my "How is it I can have a great/lucky hunt in 1 1/2 hours" versus having the day off and spending a couple hours on the hunt:
This morning I headed out and spent 4 hours plying the waters finding a nice sterling ring with turquoise and some unknown to me orange stone, $1.77 US and a little over a dollar in local coin.
On my way back to the scooter a beach vendor stopped me and said that these people had lost a ring and had been trying to call me. Then the wife walks up and says " He lost his ring yesterday over there." When I looked theres like 8 people in the water feeling around with their toes. I say I'll give it a shot.
I get in the water and these folks won't move, but they keep telling me "it's right in this area", where they are standing. I'm thinking, well get the F#$k out of my way! Finally the majority of them left, leaving the wife and husband. I eventually got a nice signal and pulled up the gold wedding band that had the inscription the wife had told me was in it.
I got a hug from the wife who was kind of cute and the "I wanna pay you something" from the husband. I did not say no. I told them that I'd be talking to another beach vendor who I know and shortly after he came up and handed me the Benjamin.
Thanks for looking and good luck out there!
