I WAS CLEANING AND SORTING ALL THE CLAD POCKET CHANGE I HAVE FOUND OVER THE PAST YEAR AND CAME UP WITH FOUR WHEATIES WHICH WERE REALLY DIRTY TILL I CLEANED THEM.....YEARS WERE 1942,1942,1946,1958-D

Great find in your finds! When I dig a coin, I always try to see what it is, but I know that I could be scratching a good coin, too. You must have great patience to not rub away on them when you find them! Do, please, share a photo! HH

Nice finds

I get a little nervous though when you call a 1958 an old coin. Same with the 1946 one too.

I was already around then and considered them junk... my how times have changed. Now i look (after putting on my bi-focals) to see if the coin is a wheat or not, or a clad or not. Sigh...

If only i had the foresight!!!
