40% coins ?

what year are the 40% coins and what denominations are they in help please

For circulation, half dollars had 40% silver in them from 1965-1969. There's also a 1970 half dollar made of 40% silver, but it was only released in mint sets. Some bicentennial half dollars also have 40% silver. Look for a silver rim.

Ikes were made in 40% silver for collectors also.
