Kinda funny to find this so close to 4/20. Never found a four piece buckle. Any idea what it was for. And a service button. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1492598154.383946.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1492598225.851334.webp
Thanks for the look
Happy 4/20 [emoji12]

Never seen one like that. With the loop on the end I would guess Cavalry carbine sling buckle. But I'm only guessing.

4-20! Ha!

Just found another thread and based on the copyright (PAT APRIL 20 1875) it was buckle was used along with an attachment as a shoe buckle or to attach other articles...

The B Y part of the mark is no doubt for Baker Young - the inventor.

the eagle service button is era correct to match up with a 1875 ish buckle --it post civil war and pre Spanish American war time frame -- say 1876 to 1901 ...looks like a indain wars era trifecta --sling , buckle , button
