Very nice find.

That would have been from the 45th Tank Battalion. We didn't have that many armored divisions. siegfried schlagrule

coloradocav,

interesting. :-\

Do you think that would be World War I or WW II? ???

Old tank
plus
Infantry rifles behind it. :icon_scratch:

Searched around and could not find something like it. :-\

Actually, it dates smack-dab in between!

The background pattern, or field, of the disk— diamond-crosshatched, with tiny acorns in the diamonds— identifies it as a Type II collar disk, officially c. 1926-37. However, some reportedly remained in use until around 1940.

In addition to the acorn pattern, there are a couple of other Type II varieties that have dots/circles or shields within the diamonds.
