You said you got one from Whites?? I dont see a DD coil that they sell that goes with the XLT because I dont think the XLT makes use of DD coils. The DFX and MXT do though.

I know that they make one but it doesnt say that its for the XLT. If you notice the other dd coils that are available. Most of them say DFX/MXT.

Come tho think of it...I could be wrong. I think I had come acrossed that quesstion before about DD coils on the XLT and the response was that you couldnt use them on the XLT. Maybe i'm wrong.

Does anyone have any input about this small coil? I got one yesterday from whites and I'm curious about any special custom programs to maximize depth. I got it to hit trashy sites but I also want to get at least 6 inches with it. Thanks

I have the Bullseye (6 inch) coil for my IDX and was wondering how it compares to the 4X6 coil.

I have used my Bullseye at trashy parks and it does a good job at going through the trash to get the coins, but want a bit more separation for the trash, and from what I have read on forums the 4X6 does an excellent job on that, better than the 6 inch coil.

Any feedback from someone who has used both the 4X6DD and the 6 inch Bullseye????

Used a 4x6" shooter on an XLT and IDX Pro and found the coil very weak on depth especially on the IDX compared to the 5.3 Bullseye but had better target separation , I actually prefer the 350 snooper on the IDX as it provides excellent separation and better depth. Just my findings.

From all accounts the 4"x6" Eclipse shooter used on the DFX MXT M6 works great . HH Bill

Would you say the 350 snooper has better or equal depth than the 4X6??

Coils--- for my IDX I have the Royal 800 and the Bullseye, and for my M6 I have the 950 and the 5.3 Eclipse.

Hi Dimeman,

Most of my hunting is done at moderate to high trash areas and the basis of most of my opinions where quick audio and visual target separation and ID is key to enjoyable hunting and the M6 is proving to be the best at pulling goodies out of trash that i've used so far.

On the IDX the 350 snooper will respond to deeper targets with better audio and visual ID than the 4x6" shooter and provides excellent separation.

My favorite coils on the IDX Pro is the 5.3 Black Max or Bullseye and the 350 snooper for the high trash areas.

I also have an M6 and use the 6x10" Eclipse for hunting cleaner open areas, the 4.5"x7" EXcelerator when the trash becomes moderately heavy and the 5"EXcelerator for the heaviest trash. The 5.3 Eclipse works great on the M6 but seems the smaller DD Coils provide better target separation in heavier trash. Since you already have the 5.3 Eclipse the 5" EXcelerator may be worth consideration especially how well the M6 works in the trashy environment with tone id on and 0 disc. HH Bill

Bill,
On the IDX looks like the 350 snooper would be perfect, and on the M6 I haven't decided if I will get a 3rd coil or not.

For future reference, ;) On the M6----- the White's 4X6DD or the EXcelerator 5" ---which one for better depth and trash seperation??

Thank you for your input.

Dimeman,

I sold my 4"x6" Eclipse along with a DFX over a year ago and using the 4.5"x7" EXcelerator instead. From many accounts the 4"x6" Exclipse shooter works very well on depth and target separation on the MXT- M6.

The 5" EXcelerator provides very good depth and excellent separation and my favorite in the heaviest trash areas on the M6. I was unhappy with the 4x6 shooter on XLT IDX but the 4x6 Eclipse seems to be fine and probably just a matter of a fractional difference in target separation between the 5" or the 4x6".

Just my 2 cents worth of opinion. HH Bill

Bill,
I have read other posts who also said the 4X6 on the XLT and IDX isn't as good as the 5.3 Bullseye. Seems to me the DD type coil would be better, ....guess the frequency has something to do with it.
The DD coils get great reviews on the DFX/MXT/M6, as the freq. is higher.
I thank you for your 2 cents. :)
