5 dollar bin strikes again

Went back recently to my local coin store, I was interested in a draped bust large cent for 20 bucks, but then when I went over to the 5 dollar bin I knew I could not pass up this 1817 large cent, it may be in poor condition, but liberty is still legible and the date is clear. Some details still visible. Shame it had a hole in it. Still not bad.

I only see pawn shops. I don't remember seeing a local coin store, What else would this type of store sell ?'

Very nice $5 nab, justnotradium ... neat little slice of history ... a common practice then was to wear coins around the neck for safe-keeping ... many of the Spanish colonial cobs I have are holed, & were done so for that purpose ... imagine what a cent could buy in 1817 ...
