this is a 5 groover
it has small grooves so it probably was for arrows
made of sandstone
has anybody found one made of another type of stone?

I am thinking you could open your artifact museum if you wanted to, LOL. Love the pics, keep 'em coming.

Between you and Dorkfish, it is just amazing the artifacts that you have found. I not only look forward to getting out and searching myself but I really look forward to seeing your post. Some of the artifacts you find just make me drool. Please keep the post coming, cause what I have been able to find so far just dont compare to what you have unearthed. JYD.

Nice polishing stone larson.

I have a nice one myself also made from sandstone.

Mine has two grooves on the side you see and one on the other side.

hi dork, you really have some nice stuff
do you mean you only have one shaft abrader?

That's an excellent example of a hard to find artifact.
