Paid $5 for this APG signed art glass vase, APG stands for Avon Place Glassworks & this glassworks produced pieces that cost several thousands of dollars new. The 2 artists that co-founded the glassworks are both with Martha's vineyard glassworks now, One of those artists is Susan Shapiro whose vases sell new for $6000 & $7000. I forget the guys name at the moment who also founded APG but his new pieces are in the $700-$1000 range. This is a top quality vase with phenomenal craftsmanship! Hard to even find info on the Avon Place Glassworks in Cambridge Mass (might not even exist anymore as INFO on them is that sketchy). Found 1 piece of APG on eBay, a paperweight for a good price but it is no where near the quality of this vase. I might have to hold onto this one! It's only about 7" tall.
