From the land of the Bluenose..well the trip started off on time and nothing out of the ordinary happened. Got quite a nice view from the top of kelly's Mountain on the 105.

Being afraid of heights I wasn't exactly looking forward to driving over the bridge that archs high above the mighty Bras Dor Lakes. Would have crossed more than my fingers if I hadnt been driving!

Spent the night at Lisa's who is a friend of Pats and headed out the next morning with the Capers (Cape Breton crew) consisting of Donnie, Willie and Angus.

The spot we hunted at was a place where there was a tent city that housed about 3000 miners at the turn of the century and these bouys had been hammering it for quite some time. Really missed seeing French Dave and max who didn't make it.

Hunted for about 3 hours and Donnie had the find of the day with this button.

Willie hit a large 1914 penny with Angus finding about a dozen modern ones. As for this bouy I had to settle for a musketball, 1917 dime and 1919 large cent.

Donnie had to go to work so we headed back and parted ways. With half the day still available I headed to a local park trying to reach my usual quota of 50 coins. At the park I did just that and in the process pulled out a nice little 925 ring. Total for the Saturday hunt was a musketball, zipper, silver "O", metal button, 1919 large cent, 1917 dime and 74 coins at $14.60. Whole weekend cost me a mere $75 with $20 being lost at the casino..my second ever trip to one..not thrilled. Home now getting reacquainted with me Bud...and Marie!
