From the land of the Bluenose.....not rain nor sleet nor snow shall keep a mailman from delivering mail on his route. Same can be said for this Bluenoser when it comes to digging holes in the ground when he has a day off!
With the Scottish First Regiment playing the bagpipes to a Sousa march banging in my head away I went on a rather dank and dark day after being roughed up the night before by the "Bud Brothers."
Of course my response to that was,"Frankly Marie I don't give a dam!"
Of course it was a mandatory stop at Tim's and like Bob Marley sang,"I feel like a sweepstake winner" and it happened as I was a winner. 2/40 man as a batting average that sucks and sends me back to the minors!
Pointed Otto towards town and away she galloped to a school yard with a playing field that I had been a center half back on as a kid and thinking I was a ....
...memories of dodge ball at lunch time!
Well it was a mudder of a dig and in no time I had my quota and got to thinking as I entered Otto for the trip home...."Um! Marie always said she didn't like a black exterior and interior in a car and I had balked at this so now with the mud I had driven through and dragged into the car Otto was a nice "earthy" brown inside and out!
Garrett was acting up as he didn't like the rain and I had to change the batteries a few times...3! Used left overs from last year that took a licking and did no clicking.
On the way home I saluted Capt. Morgan and hoped that he was in port when I arrived at my humble abode...he wasn't but Humphrey Bogart was..."Treasure of the Sierra Madri." or how ever it is spelt youz....how fitting!
Anyway the take for the day besides the cold shoulder and the hot tongue was an earing, a collar of some sort and 75 coins @ $5.47
