Detector(s) used
Tesoro Vaquero, Fisher F75LTD
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
I am in Virginia and moving my family to S.C. soon.

Tesoro Vaquero is my first ever MD. I have about 35 hours in so far.

Today I dug 76 clad coins, worth about 6 bucks, a pair of earings, silver maybe, a Gorham Sterling spoon, and a Tiger in Your Tank old Exxon key fob. Last week I got my first 3 Mercury dimes. I have dug 12 or so wheat pennies too.

Having fun and thanks for the forum!!

Welcome to the site bud. Man your off to a good start, better than me. I've started to hit it hard when I got my new detector and am up to $17.35 in clad but no silver or goodies yet. Looking forward to your future finds. HH & good luck

Welcome Aboard! Take a look at Sub-Forums: Virginia and Sub-Forums: South Carolina for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) and directly related to both states.

50 something and the only thing that gets me loosened up is metal detecting, welcome and good luck out there.

Welcome from NE Ohio.

Good day sir. I would suggest going to the library in whatever town you move to and read up on the local history. Look were the old pick nick grounds, military parade grounds, stage coach stops, one room school houses etc. were. Old sites that had large numbers of people, or were visited frequently, have the potential for old coins/relics.

Welcome toTNet SC! Best of luck out there!

Welcome sugarcreek to TNET - 50 years young & wishing you many great finds while out dirt fishing.

Hello and welcome to the forum...

Welcome to TNET!

We're in the same boat! I turn a half century old in December.
You DO however have more experience than I do...
Congrats on what you've found, and have a blast finding more!
