A few years ago, your 1934A $500 Federal Reserve Note was worth $1,000 in EF-40 and $1,800 in UNC-63 condition.
214,800 were printed in the Chicago bank. You may wish to check eBay under 'Completed Listings' for current sales.

It would be worth more if you sent to PCGS. I own larger denominations and would never buy anything not certified. Too easy to counterfeit or damage.
