Hello Fellow Tnetters!!

There sure has been a lot of great finds on our forum lately!! Good Job!! Let's keep it going!!

I've been having a remarkable run at the silver coin finds in a park I've been hunting this year. Since purchasing the new SE PRO coil, I've struck silver in 19 consecutive hunts at this park, bringing my total silver coinage recovered from this park to 102 so far this year (roughly 45% of my total silver coins for the year).

Yesterday, I went back to a spot in the park that has been producing for me, and found 2 silver Washingtons ('46D, '62D), along with a Rosie('52) and 16 wheaties. One of the wheats was a semi-key 1910S. One of the Washingtons was a tough find. It was hiding right next to the park's iron sprinkler system tubing. I barely heard it, but the Pro Coil was able to separate the coin from the iron. On Tuesday, I spent about 90 minutes at the same site, and found 1 lawnmower chopped Merc('4x), along with a Rosie ('64), 7 wheats, and a silver ring with a pearl and cz stones. It was in the same hole as a '59 memorial penny. I thought for sure I had a silver coin, but was surprised to see the copper and ring together.

When will this park stop producing? That's a hard one to answer. ;D I hope it never does, but one day, I know it will have given all it can, and I will have to move on to more productive ground. In the meantime, I'm having a blast there, and can't wait to go back.

Thanks for looking!
Keep the Passion High!!

Thanks, Nana. It doesn't hurt to be living near a large-old metropolis like Los Angeles for the old parks/old coinage. ;D

Thanks, Rob. I only hunted this park a couple times last year. I had so many more productive parks closer to me to hunt last year, so I didn't spend too much time at it. This year, different story!!

Wow Captn!!! That's an incredible location to hunt!! Congrats! thumbsup thumbsup

Thanks, Kimsdad!! Yeah, seems like I'm always finding cut/chopped silvers at this particular park. This is the same park I found 2 pieces of the same silver quarter early in the year.

The Non-Stop Silver Manic is at it again ... thumbsup

Sweet digs there Dan ... The Pro Coil seems to be Most Righteous ...

Nice little Pearlato & Argento ring my friend ...

Rock On & Persevere ~ Nick

You got it, Nick!! My shoulder/muscles were really sore yesterday, but I kept going! Mind over body!
Good luck on your next hunt, my friend!!

Thanks, Nate!! There's enough clad/trash in my parks to sink a cruise liner. ;D I dig deeper clad, or clad on edge that sounds like silver, and I don't pass up any quarter hits, but I don't dig them all. Way too many. I've even been pulling shallow silvers brought up to the surface by the gopher action. They sound slightly higher in tone than a regular clad dime. Last year, I dug almost 2500 quarters from over 70 different parks.

Hey, thanks, Bryce! I've got so many of those chopped silvers....I'll trade ya. ;D ;D This park has produced quite a few of them. We'll see if I can continue my success on my next hunt!!
Thanks, my friend. Good luck on your next "Silver" outing!!

Dan that is Incredible.....Hat's off to ya my friend  Too bad CW bullet's weren't Silver back then  Amazing amount!!!

Dan,

You are still amazing the masses of hunters on this forum. :notworthy: Your patience and persistence is simply amazing. Most people wouldn't have that determination to keep it going in that manner! :icon_salut:

My good friend from SoCal, keep on swinging that new SE coil with the fever, and keep on posting those wilvers for us to view!

Kyle

Dan,

I hope the silver streak (hey, that was a movie in the '70s!) continues for a long, long time. You continue to be an inspiration to me, Dan. When I grow up, I want to have an Explorer just like yours. ;D

Continued HH,

Dr. Ace

Awesome, 100 and counting. I go to the big park in my city for the first time tommorrow and hope to get a few goodies. You've killed them, aught to rename the park Captain S E's park of silver. Hope you get lots more!! Tom

Thanks, Kyle!! Hey, I doubted this park quite a bit at the beginning of the year. A lot of md'ers have stopped going to this park because their finds started to become sparse. No way would I have ever imagined that I could find over 100 silvers from there. One good day led to another, and I haven't stopped hunting it since.

Good luck to you, my friend from PA!!

Thanks, Dr. Ace!! No doubt the Explorer can find the deep coinage. Just remember that one Explorer hunter may only find half of what another Explorer hunter finds, yet another may find double what the other two have found. Knowing your machine very well, and putting the hours out in the field with your machine will give you a remarkable advantage.

Thanks, Tom!! Good luck to you at your big city park!! How about, "CAPTN SE's Clad Park formerly known as CAPTN SE's Silver Park". ;D ;D ;D :tongue3:
