Hello Fellow Tnetters!!
There sure has been a lot of great finds on our forum lately!! Good Job!! Let's keep it going!!
I've been having a remarkable run at the silver coin finds in a park I've been hunting this year. Since purchasing the new SE PRO coil, I've struck silver in 19 consecutive hunts at this park, bringing my total silver coinage recovered from this park to 102 so far this year (roughly 45% of my total silver coins for the year).
Yesterday, I went back to a spot in the park that has been producing for me, and found 2 silver Washingtons ('46D, '62D), along with a Rosie('52) and 16 wheaties. One of the wheats was a semi-key 1910S. One of the Washingtons was a tough find. It was hiding right next to the park's iron sprinkler system tubing. I barely heard it, but the Pro Coil was able to separate the coin from the iron. On Tuesday, I spent about 90 minutes at the same site, and found 1 lawnmower chopped Merc('4x), along with a Rosie ('64), 7 wheats, and a silver ring with a pearl and cz stones. It was in the same hole as a '59 memorial penny. I thought for sure I had a silver coin, but was surprised to see the copper and ring together.
When will this park stop producing? That's a hard one to answer.
I hope it never does, but one day, I know it will have given all it can, and I will have to move on to more productive ground. In the meantime, I'm having a blast there, and can't wait to go back.
Thanks for looking!
