Went to pick up my ten boxes from the bank today. They only had five boxes for me. Brinks told them their reserve was out of halves. Someone just ordered $60,000 worth and cleaned them out.

So should I think damn they got all the good boxes or think. Good now Brinks will have to dig into the old stacks to get more.

If they state their reserves are out, that would make me think they are completely out, no old stacks.

Do you think that person that bought all of them is a CRHunter? Where would they go to dump 60,000 dollars in halves? WOW! All skunk!

60,000 is fun to dump, I wont dump over 9,999 a day because of that stupid paper work, But I have only 1 dump bank, they make it easy I can dump anything I want and as much as I want without Question.
So It could be done pretty easily

Someone with that kind of cash would call Brinks and ask how much they had to buy them all. Sounds like Red is back in business haha. HH Mark

Silver,
I called Brinks, Loomis, and another in my area, They said it is easier and I wont get charged so to just keep ordering threw the bank, I dont want to mention the company I deal with is because my boxes have been pretty good, and they supply me VERY well, so it is less fees sometimes to just go threw the bank instead of brinks or what ever company you choose, atleast it has been for me,
But I only know how to do stuff the way I am doing it.

When they said I had bought all they had I believe they were talking about what they had here locally. Now their money comes from Indianapolis so it could actually have been Jackson Metal in Ohio as they are not that far away. And they may have gone though all the stuff from the Ohio area. So now they would have to go to Chicago to pull or they can pull from St Louis. Those are the two that are closest. So they could very well have cleared out all the new stuff and now we can get to the old boxes in Chicago.

Looks like somebody took my business proposition seriously yesterday. If you got the cash and the time it's worth it if you could get 60k all at once and dump as you go through them, say 5k a day for 12 days.

Brings up a good question though I believe it was Jeweler Dave who mentioned something the other day saying that places like brinks have pallets of coins sitting around gathering dust and they pretty much circulate off the top. If more people get involved they might dig down deeper and we might see more dream boxes being posted. I tend to agree somewhat with that statement but what do I know.

I did experience this though. About a year ago when I made my pick ups this one week they came in $1000 plastic bags and tagged because Brinks simply ran out of boxes the teller said. The following week they came in the flat Fed boxes that lasted for about 2 weeks. So I don't see it as pallets stacked and loaded. but I suppose there could be barrels or drums or bags of them sitting around waiting to be processed and packaged I suppose.

Does anyone know?

Buy the way I throw (Recycle) out 12 to 15 cardboard box's a week can you imagine the cost to brinks packaging & handling, just to be searched and returned the next week.

Found this to be interesting

I was the one who said Brinks manager told me there were pallets up on pallets setting with three inches of dirt on them. I prefer to believe that now that this guy has taken 60 grand out that Brinks will have to dig a little deeper for more and maybe just maybe I can get some good boxes like LJ. I prefer to stay on the positive side of things.

Couldn't help but notice you mentioning getting coins from the Indianapolis area. Don't worry. I've already got them all! J/K

I also got a similar story from one of the banks that order my halves. The teller said that I am probably just getting all of my own dumps back from Brinks. I guess I am the only one ordering from her. I personally don't have a problem with others getting into the hobby in my area. I also think it might help me get a little deeper into the stacks to where the good stuff is. I just don't want to loose my dump banks because of a newbie not following the dump rules. Free coin counters are hard to come by in my area.

HH all!

 It would be very simple for a bank to start enforcing fees for dumping coins. I have seen it happen. All it takes is one person to dump too much or too frequently to upset the bank. It just takes a little common sense. It is much better to ask someone before you roll into the lobby with 5K in change expecting to dump. IMO
Help the tellers out and they will help you out.

Anyone with 60 grand setting around not doing anything would be stupid not to order them after seening what LJ filnds. I think he will be disappointed when he opens all those boxes and none of them are like the ones she finds. Next he will be going down there.

Cat - Just to make sure there is no misconception here.........not every box I open is full of silver. I get my share of skunks too.....too many for my liking...lol...but as we all know that is part of this hobby. Most have only twos & fews with the occasional 'good' box or two mixed in.

Keep plugging girl.......no doubt you are on the right track. Wish you all the luck.

Oh Darlin I know you have your skunks too but those dream boxes are something to behold. Makes everyone want one. I am no exception. I would LOVE to have a few myself. I just keep on going but the five I got yesterday are someones dumps so they are going back to my bank so they can refund the fee they charged me.

Why would they refund the fee they charged you?
