Sure there is, but specific gravity is the only way.

I would consider it .500 just to be sure, it's silver anyways!

Our friends from up North have repeatedly confirmed it. There is no way to tell the two apart. Same specs.

Sound test can be used. 50% silver has less of a silver sound.
