Sorry it should be gold and copper report. Tried to find some silver coins this week but got skunked. The best coins that I got were a 1917 and 1920 wheat pennies and did manage to find one ring. I did not metal detect much probably two-three hours and panned for about five hours at two different locations. Unfortunatly somebody found my gold panning honey hole and absolutely tore it up. I have land owner permission in this spot so hopefully he does not think that it was me

Theres always someone to do stuff like that. I always wanted to pan for gold I lived in AZ for a long time read a lot about the lost Dutcman mine still people who live out there looking for it, many people killed over it. I love the stories must be exciting Great finds Thanks for the post!!!!!!!!!!

I have to get better at taking pictures of coins and cleaning copper. Sorry still new to this (metal detecting). Next week I am going to the ocean family trip so am going to have to try some beaches while I am there so no native gold for me for a couple of weeks but maybe I can find something good. I have never detected a beach before any suggestions would help and I will report. Should I detect at low tide or maybe some of the less popular beaches that do not get hit as hard or just research older areas along the coast?

We detect O.C. MD. while on vacation and dig everything, lots of foil and pull tabs. Lol
We hit the wet sand at low tide and dry sand late afternoon around when the sun bathers start leaving.
Good Luck!!
