Last trip to the ARC yeilds these 7 Waterford Lismore cut - Double Old Fashion 12oz whiskey tumblers. All total was $15.11. I was sure they where Waterford when I spotted them and they're not marked on the bottom, but they're marked on the sides of the base this time. That threw me off for a moment and I did look high & low for any others in the maze of clear glass, but no such luck. Just these 7, I found all together.
Yeah, I always check out the glass. I've found many Waterford pieces and some Baccarat along with Lalique and other vintage pieces such as old Hawks. These are what I buy to sell. I'm thinking I'll list these individually at a BIN price. They're kinda heavy all together and Walmart should have a perfect size box to send each one for around 85¢ each? I'm hoping to make a $100.00 out of them all. There's quite a few of this style on eBay now a days they all seem to find a buyer. I had two of an other style a couple years ago and I got like $79.00 for the pair and they were flawless. I got note from the buyer with a picture of one that had a inch long scratch on it. They were saying it wasn't as I described. The SOB kinda had me on that one, as I know the two I sent had sent had nothing of the sort with a scratch like that. He had to have had one with that scratch on it. I just reimburse him for the one glass rather than take the one back and that was his suggestion to make it right. I knew there was no way for me to prove I didn't send that one, as I only took a couple photos. I would have never bought it myself to resell if it had a flaw such as that on it. I did archive his messages and if he goes to bid on any of these I'll remove his bid with a note telling him he can KMA.
True. The thrift stores near me are picked very quickly, but few look at the glass. Shipping them safely is a pain and always a little risky. I have been able to build a nice personal wine glass collection at least.
