hi folks from around the world
i havent been out for a very long time so i havent posted much but i have seen some very beautiful items on here
today/yesturday i went out on some ploughed land with has been very deep ploughed then rolled right next to a 11th century church which i just love in the heart of essex in the beautiful british country
both days i have been out i started at 0500am as i like very early detecting so i can see the sun raise with theres nothing better
so the items i have found over the two days are...
1st find)..i have found two Edward 1st pennys which both are 13th century coins so over 700 years old but one of then that i broke in half yes i know im a very silly boy but i wanted to been it back in shape as it was found bent in half by 100s of years of ploughing in the ground
but it was later found to be a rare type of Edward 1st coinage from the Dutch area now called holland!Edward I of England - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
2nd find)... second find is a Elizabeth 1st silver hammered half groat from the 16th century
Elizabeth I of England - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
3rd find)....is the best of them all was a Tubor 16th century silver and gold gilding dress pin which only the very rich people would of owned 400 odd years ago and as its silver/gold and over 300 years old in the Uk we have to hand these items in for the country to record it to save are history and make people aware of are past
4th find) is a 17th/18 century weight for weighing food etc

thanks very much for looking
