705 users......any tips?

I've used my new 705 about 3 weeks now. I've got mixed results, but I;m still definitely in a learning mode. One thing I have noticed is that I get several hits that show no depth. Also, many hits show 6"+, but object, when recovered is less than 3".

Any thoughts or tips?

Don't pay that thing any attention. (Honestly)
Screens, numbers etc....are usually incorrect on ALL machines a majority of the time.
heep it simple,dig your solid tones, and have fun!

The depth gage is based on coin size targets so anything much smaller or bigger might not be accurate. For that ones that show no depth... what were they and how deep? (You did dig right?)

Are you new to detecting or just new to the unit?
