I have both. My 705 is having depth dispay problems, and I'm going to send it in for repair. Bought an MXT, and figured I'd sell one of the two after I get 705 back and compare them by using on alternate days at the same sites for a stretch of time.

THey are different machines. THe 705 has different pitches for hits, and you can ignore the VDI read most of the time. THe MXT has one tone, and you need to watch the screne more.

I find both to be quite good. Although I've yet to find silver, each machine has found coin/button targets at 8" or so. At this point, Id be at neat a tossup between the two, but want to spend more time with 705 after the repair.

I'm curious what others think.

The MXT Pro has multi tone option for coin shooting and two tone for relics. Sounds like you have the regualar MXT.
