Another beautiful day at the beach after some high surf. I got there extra early but so did my competition. I was there on a mission so I ignored everything else. As soon as I start digging I start finding dimes, not exactly what you want when hunting for gold but it’s a start. I start my zig zag looking for the heavier stuff and finally find it. I start pulling nickels, quarters and sinkers. I’m staying busy digging some good targets but after four hours or so still no gold. With all the good stuff I’m digging I’m sure there’s gold there. Finally, after almost 5hrs I dig my first gold ring marked “XV” anos (quinceanera), also known as the day girls reach womanhood in the Hispanic culture and weighed 3.9 grams. Now I was recharged and ready to keep going. The next gold ring was the small/thin band and weighed 1.63 grams. The last one was marked 14k and tipped the scales at 8.05 grams. I got 6 rings total but 3 were junk. This hunt was very tiring but equally rewarding. Thanks for looking and good luck out there.
