So who use's rechargeable 9 volt batteries? It appears that there are NiMh and lithium available for us Tesoro's users to choose from. The question I have is are they safe to use in our 9v detectors? Also any advice on choosing the right one IF anybody has used them. They range from 200 mah to 600 mah and seem like they would be great for metal detecting.

There's a thread going on in the Tech Talk forum about this topic.

You can see it at:

I've only used 200 and 250 mAh Tenergy rechargeable 9V batteries in my Tesoro machines.
With those, I get about half the time on a charge that I get with an alkaline battery.
So I figure I break even on cost after about 5-6 recharges. After that, I'm basically using
free batteries. (They don't draw much power to recharge.) They've worked fine for me.

Maybe the higher-capacity 9V batteries do better than that.
Does anyone who uses 300 mAh or higher rechargeables want to speak up?

Well looks like Mr. Ben52 has had the same idear.
Thank you for the redirect!!
