in place of bells, Trainers used to buy boxes of unused caps like this
and Tie 2 or 3 to the pigeon, which would
cause the same effect.

And unusual Gigantic Hornets Nest
in a Sand Pile.
the Hornets, although not allot,
Were very Hyper. They even attacked & Chased Butterflies that tried
to land on the nest.

I was a Bit nervous Getting closer then a few Feet of the Hive because of this,
Although they didn't Buzz me, They were keeping an eye my way.

Because Kids use the Place,
and the sand pile is next to the Swings, I tried
to destroy the nest before I left, By spinning out And Collapsing the Holes shut.
Not sure if it worked enough to convince them to Move on :dontknow:

Nice finds, but you left some hornets very mad.

Holy Smoke Jeff!! Now that is certainly a whopper of a nest!! Glad you didn't get a dose of their hospitality!! GOOD HUNTING!! VERDE!!

lol I've always been the Go to person When Friends would need to Get rid of bees nests,
But I've never come across anything like this before.
I was definitely cautious for the first time ever.
a 20 OZ plastic soda bottle would fit in the big hole
If a hornet that size had come out, I would have called the sci-Fi channel :laughing7:

I thought about just taking my Trowel & my foot to it,
but thought Better, So I put all my windows up
and had at it with my tire.

would have been nice to have an M-80

I can only imagine the fun you could have had with a qt. of gas, and a length of cannon fuse;D

nice day to be out... i hope to get out the next couple of days

Wow! It sure does remind just whose world we are in when we venture out there.

But, if kids use this place, I think I would almost be tempted to pull the "Mz Bizzybody" trick of calling the authorities to make sure it stays safe for the kids . I mean, after all, I would hate to read about a large attack on some kids. Especially if I might could've done something to prevent. :dontknow:

Nice finds by the way.
HH!

how is it possible for you to post so much and ever leave the house?

Nice digs Jeff, love all the site pics!
Great patina on the Wheaties and the dime size ZION LUTH.& REF. Pin is a nice find!

Dave

Nice find. I would steer clear of the Hornets.
