Well, I had about 90 minutes to kill today, so I hit a spot out in the woods at the plantation property that I’ve been detecting at for years now. I had just started to recover a few CW bullets in this particular spot at the end of the last season.
It’s tough hunting though because you have to maneuver your coil in between a lot of small closely growing pine saplings to find targets and are constantly getting whipped in the face by branches. :tongue3: There were numerous iron signals today due to yesterdays rain including; a trace chain, an old hoe (not ho), RR spikes, and square nails. I was able to find one 3-ringer, a CW bullet cut in half , a suspender clip (?), piece of a heavy spoon, and some other odds and ends.

Nothing too amazing, but it was great to be finally get out in the cool weather, and not having to worry about snakes, ticks, and mosquitoes.

Have a great weekend, and don’t forget to wear your blaze orange if going out into the woods.

Good stuff Dug!
I remember that spot.
It was kinda thick in there and hard to swing.
I found that pocket watch bezel near there.
Hey you better give grandma her bra clip back! :D

Yep, that's the area Rob.
I think gravity may have finally taken hold on grandma and her bra clip couldn't take it anymore. I'd hate to be around to witness that! :o :tongue3: :laughing9:
Ya nut!
:D that over the shoulder boulder holder snap could'nt take it no more ... nice visual and finds MM  dawg

Congrats on your recoveries. I have found two of your mystery items and they both were flattened like yours. I believe they are to a lamp or lantern.

Thanks TH. You are probably right. I find a lot of old lantern pieces too, so the chances of it being that are a lot greater than being a piece of a CW cup. I found a lot of old stove and fireplace pieces in that area next to the foundation stones and cellar hole, so a lantern makes sense. Once it gets colder and I'm sure the snakes are gone, I'm going to jump down into that cellar hole with the detector to see if I can find anything. I may have to tie a rope to a nearby pine to pull myself back out. ;D
Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
