Got back to the park where I dug the 1882 seated dime on Wednesday morning.
Did not get silver today but did recover one more Indian Head cent close to where I dug the dime; this area is unkind to anything copper and the profile and date are barely visible on this coin. The year is 1888.

Figured I'd drive to another part of the park that also produced Indians. About 900 feet (as the crow flies) away from the 1888 disaster cent I dug a beautiful 1889 IHC.

This patina and condition are typical of Indians dug from this part of the park.
