Went back to where I got the De Laval fob the other day, and expanded the search area farther from the house. After a couple hours all I had was a half full pouch of trash. I'm just about to call it quits for this site, and get a decent signal, pull up a toasted jack knife. I thought well that's best find of the day. Two steps away I get a signal that goes all the way up to 90 on Omega. There is a thick layer of old grass about 3 inches deep then another 7 into the dirt (have video) I pull out the Big Copper. (33mm) Now I'm happy, and done.

1838 ONE STIVER. PURE COPPER PREFERABLE TO PAPER. A long ways from perfect, but at least good enough to identify, fully half of the coppers I find are completely toast.

The 1815 Half P Token I got yesterday GENUINE BRITISH COPPER. Breton number 886

2012 Copper total 3

Gotta like it when the work pays off!

Nice save...now get that Spanish!

very cool finds

you might not be finding many coins yet but at least you are finding some decent ones, those stivers show up from time to time ,I must have a half dozen of them by now ,and I haven't turned one down yet, keep up the good work!

Great finds, Rick! What a great way to start off the season.

That Stiver is more than decent!

Nice copper finds Rick. I found a Half Penny Token a few years back . There is a lot of history behind that coin.
Thy were made by private partys , allowed by the King. There was a shortage of small coins in the States at that time .

cool! ya don't see those coppers everyday.least i dont

yep, obviously the ship carrying most of those was sent to the North East. I too have several, and one that's nice enough I don't need anymore.

Looks good to me! Congrats on the coppers. I don't know how many times I've found good things just as I was thinking of quitting. WTG
