Went down to another high spot on the creek today with my hunting partner (my son). Found a bunch of chips, and a cool, what appears to be, a "blank", but that can wait....
I am in a crouch, looking down, and see this one, looks way to big to me, maybe a scraper tool I think.......
Please help with an ID/age range, it has to be a projectile, right? But I am as happy as can be, whatever type it is!

Nice looking find

Thanks Rock. I thought this was an uncommon size to find, I know it is for us, being new to this type of hunting, it looks like we have allot to learn.

Danged nice find there! Found one once almost like that, it disappeared.

I don't believe it is a point. Looks like a knife type of tool. I don't find many big artifacts here either. Most Woodland or Mississippian tribes in my area made most of their tools and points small. 1-2 inches in length. Its always a challenge to find a bigger artifact here in this part of GA I am in. But I will take them as I find them.

i like it
i think it is probably a knife?

Beautiful find I vote knife ;)
