I am trying to get ID on some of the relics dug last night. Other than the spoon, leather rivets and "D" buckle, I have no idea. One thing looks like it might have had a gauge such as from an early automobile?

The other item is one of two found, and appears to be some type of clasp?

The third item is the one that really has me stumped. I have found a few of these before in different fields. It is a heavy rectangular piece of metal with two parallel lines across one side. Does anyone have a clue on this?

The other item with the Indian headdress is about 1.5 inches tall. Maybe part of a pendant?

The piece with the 2 lines looks like a print font. Look one one end and see if there is a letter. If not it was used for a space. I have dug quite a few but don't have any handy to scan right now but will tomorrow if you like. The key hole looking thing at the bottom is to a dress or something. they are really small and I've found them on thin tin strips. The most I have found one one strip is 8. when on the strips they look like hooks for a dress of girdle or something like that.

My first thought when I found my first one a few years back was a printers font, but they are always flat. I guess it is possibly a spacer, but it does not go with the types of area they are found in.

Thats what I was trying to say....girdle,a buddy found one nearly in tact, with bits of fabric still in tact, but there was some debate that carpet bags had similiar fasteners,I have dug carpet bags but the fasteners were larger.

Neil could you clarify that the rivets are rivets or not??

They are definitely bridle rivets. I find these all the time at old farm sites. The larger one is about 3/4 of an inch tall.
