You guys and your fantastic finds and short hunts
make me wonder what I'm doing wrong. But I guess
my time will come.
Congratulations. You should be proud.

Those indians are in great shape. I just dug one on Friday but the soil by me is not so kind. I love those old locks...I have not dug one in quite a while.

Great stuff!

The button is an early 19th century civilian plain-face gilt coat button.

The "MOTOR" brass lever padlock was made by the E. T. Fraim Lock Co. & Fraim-Slaymaker Hardware Co. of Lancaster, PA. Franklin M. Arnall's book, The Padlock Collector, gives a date range of c. 1921-30 for the Fraim-Slaymaker Hardware Co.

Awesome looking Indian Head pennys, great detail on the 1881 one. I love finding them, (when i do)

Thanks PBK, and the info on the button and padlock is much appreciated.

Those are some great finds. I love the crotal bells and the lock. The Indians look really nice too. I think you have some nice soil conditions where you are hunting. Good luck over there.
