I would agree vg on the 1825, but I would call the seated G. 2010 redbook has the 1825 at $85 in VG, and the 1854 at $30. This like Charlie is my unprofessional opinion.

Note that the "book" is not close to what you can sell it for and should not be what you pay, either. ;-)
OK, Mainer. I yield to your "Good" on the '54. I checked my more recent Photograde and Mr. Ruddy is easier than the Brown & Dunn Guide to the Grading of United States Coins I pulled the About Good from. I really like the line drawings in the B&D book; but those two are harsh on older silver. A great guidebook, none the less.
Buy with Brown & Dunn and sell with Ruddy.

Hey Charlie P, I know not to put all my trust in the book but it was the only reference I have right now. So was the only reference I could give. Its funny I dug out a couple old redbooks from the 60's you could buy these coins and anything else you wanted for nothing be good to have those prices back if only for a day. Thanks for your reference on the books you use going to look into them.

The value is when the seller and buyer are satisfied with the offer and acceptance...
Use the book as a reference only then make an offer...
The coins are not rare and are barely in the 'Good' range...
I'd start low and set a maximum limit when counter-offering...take a walk when the limit is countered...

Don't use the PCGS website for coin values they are super inflated.
Don't believe me? Check on other sites like Coin World or any other price guides you can find. I guarantee that PCGS
exagerates the heck out of their prices. For what reason I don't know unless it has something to do with dealers being able to sell their coins for higher prices to unscroupulous buyers.
